Pierro will likely start as favourite for Saturday’s Cox Plate even though he will meet All Too Hard who beat him last start in the Caulfield Guineas. Plenty of excuses looking at his Guineas run where he ran wide up the hill before pressing forward in a fast race before being left in front very early in the straight. He did very well to hold on for as long as he could before being run down late, looking at All Too Hards run and Pierros run the latter clearly was the better of the two.
Definitely the horse to beat although a tough Caulfield Guineas run could be his undoing, similar to that of Helmet last year.
