Sportsbet have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting, and hopefully we can continue on from last Saturday after finding Exhibition at $11.
Rosehill Race Three Number 2 Ablaze ($2.80):
Gee I think this is good placement by the Maher/Eustace stable with Ablaze. He’s the best jumper in Australia, but he’s a more than capable flat horse. Last run came in the Grand Annual at the Bool where his class came to the fore and he was much too good. On track for feature jumps races later in the season along with the Jericho. This will be a slog and he’ll be strongest late. $2.80…given the depth, he should be closer to even money IMO.
Rosehill Race Nine Number 1 Echo Jet ($9.50):
On top in the get out is Echo Jet, who resumed over 1100m here a month ago where the race shape didn’t suit him first up but was still a definite pass mark I thought behind the above average Brad Widdup mare. Tricky gate, but looks to get good speed in front and be strong at the end.
Caulfield Race Two Number 6 No Say In It ($9):
The jockey upgrade is what is swinging me the way of No Say In It. No disrespect to Chris Caserta, but Michael Rodd is high class and is building up a good strike rate with Lindsey Smith. Forget this horse went around at Flemington. Poor ride, wide throughout and was given no chance. Can see him ridden cold and launching late.
Caulfield Race Eight Number 7 South Pacific ($12):
I’ll take a chance with South Pacific, a former UK galloper that makes his Australian debut for the Maher/Eustace yard. Has the Constantinople and Stradivarius form around him, which does read very well for a race like this, and did have a rating of 101 when racing over there. Comes to Australia with a 92 rating, so he’s got ratings points in hand, and loved the way he found the line under riding in a recent Caulfield jumpout.
