Over The Odds – Saturday’s Races 12/8/2020

Sportsbet have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.

Randwick Race Five Number 1 Raheen House ($8):

Class came to the fore in the Winter Challenge and I think it comes to the fore again, this time with Raheen House, who resumes for Kris Lees. Raced just the four times during the Autumn, headlined by a win in the Chairmans before a luckless effort in the Sydney Cup. No public trials, but he has these on toast re class.

Randwick Race Seven Number 8 Bravado ($13):

Big fan of Bravado and I think he can measure up to these successfully. Impressive debut winner at Kembla and ran sharp time relative to the meeting. Then raced at Rosehill three weeks ago and loved the way he found the line from the back in a messy race won by Smart Image. Eats up 1300m and has plenty of upside to come.

Randwick Race Nine Number 1 Articus ($41):

Articus is one to keep an eye out for me. Kris Lees trained gelding that has been given a freshen up, having not raced since July 4 over 1800m at Randwick when really struggling in a fast run race, won by High Opinion. Tick over trial at Gosford last Monday was good and he’s a horse who can perform well on the fresh side.

Caulfield Race One Number 4 No Effort ($4):

She drops a fair bit in grade/depth after contesting an open handicap at the Valley two weeks ago where she was clearly outclassed on paper but in a fast run race found the line pretty well behind Al Galayel. Now back to Mares grade, from a soft gate, back on a track she has won at, she appeal and $9 is definitely overs.
