Over The Odds – Saturday’s Horse Racing 28/5/2022

Ladbrokes have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting. Hopefully we can continue from last Saturday after finding Boom Boom Basil at $17.

Eagle Farm Race Two Number 15 Soprano Supreme ($9.50):

Soprano Supreme is a progressive mare for Mark Walker that should prove hard to beat. She ran in the Gold Coast Cup three weeks ago and was given a ground saving trip by McEvoy, but with that, she was stuck in the worst part of the track and that beat her in the end IMO when second to Stardome. Firmer deck, she’ll take beating.

Eagle Farm Race Four Number 21 Owen County ($26):

I think this race is about a couple of key emergencies, so hopefully there are scratchings. Owen County is a horse I have plenty of time for. His two career outings have been excellent. Savaged the line late to win on debut at Kembla before going to the Clarendon at Hawkesbury and he should have fought the finish out. Just had no luck. Has eyes on the JJ Atkins, but a truly run 1400m here, he’ll be strong late.

Eagle Farm Race Six Number 10 Battleton ($14):

Battleton is a quality three year old that should prove hard to beat for Bjorn Baker. This guy resumed at Gosford where he ran his race in patches. Came off the bit and hit a flat spot early on in the straight but he balanced up in the straight and loved the way he found the line late when third. Bigger track, fitter, if he can sit closer in the run, he’ll take beating.

Eagle Farm Race Nine Number 4 Eleven Eleven ($15):

Eleven Eleven is a great each way gamble IMO. Greg Hickman trained gelding that saves his best for when he comes to Queensland and brings fresh legs. Resumed two weeks ago in the Ortensia at Scone and warmed to the task nicely late when fourth in a big tick for a first up run given he gets better as the prep goes on. Maps to get a soft run in transit and will be strong late.
