Sportsbet have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.
Randwick Race Two Number 4 Adana ($12):
One soft trial is the only niggle re Adana, but he’s just about the best bet on the program. Chris Waller trains this four year old, who was tested at a solid level in the Autumn and didn’t quite measure up, but did contest some strong races. As a gelding, he’s had two first up runs. Won the first one, then fresh last prep, ran a narrow second to the well performed Vegadaze, which was 1400m. 1200m here off one trial, hopefully he’s being trained as 1200-1400m horse. If so, I’m all over him.
Randwick Race Six Number 5 Our Winnie ($15):
Looks to be going really well for the Greg McFarlane stable. She ran over 1500m at Rosehill three weeks back where she was out the back under Glyn Schofield and looked to be going nowhere but picked up late and was good to the line and through it, running fourth, but arguably runs third if Glyn rides the mare right out. 1800m should be fine, back to mares grade…she’s really likeable.
Randwick Race Seven Number 5 Milk Man ($8.50):
Matty Smith has had a good run recently with imports and he’ll take the wrappings off another here in the shape of Milk Man, who makes his Australian debut. Former French galloper who placed in a Listed race two back, so the talent and touch of class is there despite the form on paper looking average re subsequent winners. The blinkers went on in the Warwick Farm trial last Friday and though his head carriage was awkward, he looked to move well. Keen to see how he goes and bear in mind at this meeting last year, a French import made a huge impression at his Australian debut – Avilius.
Randwick Race Eight Number 8 The Bandit ($61):
This bloke ran over the mile two weeks ago where he got a fair way back in the run but liked the way he found the line late behind impressive winner Pelethronius. He is much better on top of the ground, which is a little concern here, but his form from the Autumn certainly reads well enough for a race of this quality.
