Sportsbet.com.au have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find a runner from each city that appears overs in betting.
Caulfield Race Six Number 4 Leotie ($10):
Blacktype class filly when she is on song so the double figure opening price seems crazy overs to my eye. High class filly for the Henry Dwyer who should be forgiven for her first up failure down the Flemington straight behind Hear The Chant given she didn’t pull up 100% and I don’t think the straight is her go. Much better suited around the bend, and at Caulfield. Last time she was at the short course, she swept past subsequent Group l winner I Am A Star.
Hawkesbury Race Eight Number 1 Mighty Lucky ($13):
In a wide open race, I think he is the real value engaged here. He was against it first up in the Hall Mark but for a $101 shot, he ran an absolute beauty when closing off to run fifth to Redzel. One of only a couple of horses throughout the program that made ground. He’ll take some beating here with natural improvement.
Eagle Farm Race Six Number 7 Tumbler ($7.50):
Not often I can say I love a horse but I love this girl. I think she’s a beauty and I think she might just stamp herself as a Group l horse here. She really had no right to win first up at Doomben given they went very slowly in front yet she rounded them up late with a devastating turn of foot to win and run a tick over 32 for her final 600m. Always stated she is blacktype, but she could well be a Group l horse, like the Tatts Tiara. Very keen to see if she can hold her own.
Morphettville Parks Race Two Number 17 Stormsabrewing ($4.20):
$4.20? Really??? She should be closer to $2.50 to my eye. Freshened up before racing at Sandown on Easter Monday and lord almighty, if you backed her, it was just an utter nightmare. Got too far back and had no luck when appearing to have plenty to offer. Very talented mare, and really, she only has to get an ounce of better luck to win this.
