Sportsbet.com.au have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find a runner from each city that appears overs in betting, and hopefully they continue the good form courtesy of Hesitation from last Saturday, who we identified at $13 and ended up winning impressively.
Moonee Valley Race One Number Key Evidence ($9):
I think this Robert Smerdon trained filly looks the overs in the two year old race. I’ve been impressed by what I’ve seen off the track in trials/jump outs. The stable had also nominated Instant Action, but that horse is in Adelaide while they’ve elected to run Key Evidence in Melbourne. That’s the lead.
Rosehill Race Four Number 1 High Opinion ($6.50):
I think this horse is tremendous overs for this race. He was tremendous in a Highway race over 1400m here a fortnight back, charging home from last to run fourth. Extra 100m will suit and the best rider in Sydney takes over. Should be half his price IMO. Looks one of the best bets of the weekend.
Doomben Race Five Number 2 Hi Son ($15):
Resumed in an Open Handicap over this track/distance and was stuck wide no cover when finishing behind Victory Hotel. Big drop in grade here, draws well and is well weighted after the claim. He has also trialled since that first up run and won impressively. Opened $17, so there is support and rightfully so.
Morphettville Race Two Number 6 Hot Gossip ($10):
Nippy filly for the Kennewell yard who was massive in winning her maiden last start at Balaklava, settling near the back in the run before picking her way through the field and savaging the line hard late to win. Ran well in town the start prior, and now she only carries 52.5kg. $12 to $10, so she has her admirers.
