Opened $14 so already early interest which is pleasing. Thought the ride of Collett and the tactic to stay inside wasn’t ideal last Wednesday at Warwick Farm. I think had he peeled out, he definitely runs a place. Convinced he is going well and the rise to 1800m on the big track looks an ideal set up.
Rosehill Race Nine Number 10 Danish Lace ($13):
In from $17 so good early support for this girl. This mare is in career best form at the moment for the Peter Nestor stable. This girl absolutely walked up in the Town Plate at Gilgandra last time out when heavily backed and leading all the way. Been a while since she has been in town but given the vein of form she is in, giving her a chance.
Caulfield Race Two Number 6 Bold Type ($15):
Thought he was the overs here. Gelding that resumes for John McArdle after a one run prep in the Spring where he finished down the track in the Maribyrnong Trial, a race which featured Sunlight. Flew in a Sandown jump out last week and the tongue tie goes on to relax. Reckon he’s being set to win here fresh.
Caulfield Race Eight Number 4 Royal Rapture ($14):
Tough race but each way he can run well. Veteran galloper for Darren Weir who is first up here off a Winter prep where he raced well for the most part without winning. Dodged the Spring and has been given a really good break. Jump outs have been good and 1400m first up tells me there is intent to run well.
