Sportsbet.com.au have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find a runner from each city that appears overs in betting.
Moonee Valley Race Eight Number 4 Kievann ($6.50):
Tough race but the weight relief should see this bloke prove tough to run down. Hasn’t won for some time, but I thought there was merit in his last start effort given he raced on a hot speed and wasn’t beaten far with the weight. Maps really well here and senior rider takes over. Should be around $5 for mine.
Randwick Race Five Number 7 Quick Defence ($15):
In a race full of absolute scrubbers, he does represent value. His form doesn’t read great but two back he ran over the mile at Randwick and was ridden on speed, and he seemed to react well to it, running a game third. If they roll forward on him here, I think he could take stopping at a price.
Eagle Farm Race Six Number 1 Ringo’s A Rockstar ($4.40):
Gee I think the boys and girls at Sportsbet have got this price wrong. I had him down as favourite and the best on the program, so $4.40 looks outstanding shopping. Sat three wide throughout last start against the older horses yet cantered to the front and sprinted clear for a soft. Back to his own age, good gate and the 3kg claim just sees him thrown in. Clear horse to beat and a really good bet.
Morphettville Race Four Number 7 Lockdown Jack ($10):
This gelding looks really good overs in a tricky and even contest. He does have a horrible racing pattern of getting back to last and looking to ambush, but there looks to be really good speed here, which should give him every chance to run on over the top. He’s third up now, so he should be ready fitness wise and I can certainly entertain him at $10.
