Over The Odds – 19/8/2017

Sportsbet.com.au have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.

 

Caulfield Race Nine Number 13 Majestic Duke ($18):

The potential is there for him to start longer, but I think given the way the map reads, he’ll take some running down. Ran over the Flemington 1400m weeks back and I thought he did a really good job in defeat under Chelsea Hall. Set up the speed, ran along at a decent clip and was only beaten off the final furlong. Getting fitter, looks the leader and will give a bold sight at good odds.

 

Caulfield Race Six Number 4 Jukebox ($4):

Dirty I missed the $5. I’ll happily take $4 though because I think he is a $3 chance, maybe shorter. Really keen to see what this boy can do in the Spring. He was very dominant in two wins prior to the Blue Diamond, where he was tipped by everyone and was crunched in betting but was scratched due to injury and the campaign was done then. Looked great at the jump outs and he’s the one for mine.

 

Caulfield Race Five Number 9 Brook Magic ($14):

If the rain comes, this girl is a $7 chance, perhaps even lower. She hasn’t raced since July 8 at warwick Farm where she led all the way bar the last stride when nabbed by Manicure. Trialled brilliantly last week at Randwick, thrives on wet tracks and looks the leader. Happy to have something each way on her.

 

Randwick Race Seven Number 5 Rocket Commander ($14):

Silly, silly price. This mare had her first run for the Hayes/Dabernig team at Caulfield three weeks back over 1200m and I thought her effort was very good in defeat. It turned into a real sit/sprint, which this horse doesn’t like, but I loved her final 100m and through the line. Proven blacktype performer in Sydney, she can threaten here for sure.
