Over The Odds – 14/7/2018

Sportsbet.com.au have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.

Rosehill Race One Number 3 Laburnum ($4.80):

Gap between her and The Fire Trap looks too great IMO. James Cummings trains this filly, who resumed at the Canterbury midweeks and tried hard but was no match for a potential Group l winner in Smart Melody. She should have no trouble with the 1400m and generally, the stable runners improve sharply second up given they are usually big in condition fresh. Happy to take $4.80.

Rosehill Race Three Number 8 Casa De Lago ($14): 

Dual acceptor, but she does look a crazy price if she runs here. On the seven day back up for the Patrick Payne team after racing in the Rivette Final last Saturday at Flemington where she got back in a slowly run affair but finished off quite well in defeat I thought behind Mintha. She has run well up to 2100m before, so up to 1800m here no issue and stable is absolutely flying at the moment.

Rosehill Race Six Number 4 Al Galayel ($4.60):

Looks a good bet. Irish import for Ciaron Maher who was so dynamic when making his Australian debut with a Sandown win prior to racing at Caulfield where he looked to have the second up syndrome somewhat. Wasn’t as brilliant but ground away pretty well behind Haripour. That form looks really good and third up at 2000m, it’s an ideal recipe.

Rosehill Race Seven Number 17 Old North ($13):

Hoping he gets a run. Yep, it’s Old North, but we know that when right, he’s blessed with so much talent and he did bolt up fresh last prep. Does seem to produce his best early on in a prep and his two trials leading up to his resumption have been outstanding. Looks to be good speed, so he’ll get his chance. Hoping he gets a run.
