Sportsbet.com.au have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find a runner from each city that appears overs in betting, and hopefully we can continue on after finding It’s Somewhat at $3.70 last week.
Caulfield Race Five Number 5 Onpicalo ($8.50):
I think Kenjorwood is a standout, but the standout saver is clearly Onpicalo. He was second up when racing at this track/distance a fortnight back where he chased a hot speed and stuck to his task quite gamely behind Rhythm To Spare. Looks to map well here and a more senior rider takes over now.
Scone Race Five Number 3 Mr Sneaky ($6.00):
Market has got this wrong for mine. I had this horse favourite now that Calanda has drawn the carpark. Classy three year old for the Freedman camp who took on the older horses a fortnight back at Caulfield where he was heavily backed and didn’t let his supporters down with a dominant win. 1400m on a big track looks perfect for him and he rates highly.
Doomben Race Seven Number 8 Start Wondering ($13):
Looks one of the best each way plays of the entire weekend. Star galloper who kicked off his career in NZ before being sent to Chris Waller where he left a decent impression before suffering a bleeding attack and heading home. In his second NZ stint, he has won two Group l races and placed in another two. But what makes me lean his way is his trial win at Waverly. Went like Black Caviar in winning that and doing it under triple wraps. Brilliant fresh record and will take a power of beating.
Morphettville Race Seven Number 11 He Ekscels ($21):
Was $34 all in so I’m glad there is support for him. Has enormous room for improvement for the Richard Laming camp but I think he can measure up here at odds. Ran over 1800m at Caulfield last time out where he had a charmed run behind the speed and once Dunn gave him clear air, he dashed right away and powered to the line. 2500m looks perfect and I think he has the upside here.
