Sportsbet.com.au have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.
Caulfield Race One Number 4 Tall Ship ($13):
Keen on Jaameh but outside him, I think the value clearly lies with this bloke. On the quick back up after racing over 2040m last Saturday at the Valley where he really had no chance given the bias but ran better than expectations I thought behind Trap For Fools. He has a fab record at 2400m and this is the first time he steps out to the trip since winning the 2015 Werribee Cup in impressive fashion. Wouldn’t be shocked if he won.
Caulfield Race Five Number 14 Wheal Leisure ($16):
I think she’s clear overs in a tough race. Archie Alexander trains this mare, who resumed over 1400m here a fortnight back where she got back then when looking to build momentum, she was held up but once clear, she finished off quite strongly. She’ll eat up the extra 300m and has a decent second up record. Definitely worth an each way ticket at the price.
Caulfield Race Six Number 15 Granny Red Shoes ($10):
I’ll take a chance on the Queenslander. Talented filly who resumes for Toby Edmonds after a really good campaign during the Brisbane Winter, which saw her win a couple of Listed races in very impressive fashion before being tipped out. Loved the way she went in a recent Gold Coast trial and if the rain forecast is right, she comes even further into play.
Caulfield Race Seven Number 1 Happy Clapper ($5.50):
If you’re using Winx as a form reference, Happy Clapper has clearly performed better against her compared to Kementari yet he’s $4.40 and Happy Clapper is $5.50. Madness. If he handles Caulfield, I think his class just about gets him home. He is a beauty for Pat Websterwho isn’t far off being the best horse in Australia behind Winx. Had a fab Autumn prep, highlighted by his Doncaster triumph. Two trials have been great to the eye and from all reports has come on big time since the latest trial.
