Despite some impressive performances on the weekend, boom colt Brutal is still at the top of the all in market for the Caulfield Guineas (1600m).
The Team Hawkes trained colt wasn’t as dynamic compared to his debut but still got the job done when he raced last Saturday, but visually it was nothing spectacular. There were some tidy efforts from Saturday, but he still holds the call at $8.
The Autumn Sun, who trialled really well on Saturday at Rosehill between races, is at $14, ahead of a host of runners. The big firmer was impressive McNeil winner Native Soldier, who is at $9 after being as much as $51 at one stage.
For value, it might be worth having a nibble at Oohood at $34 given trainer Tony McEvoy has indicated that will be her grand final.
