The big money keeps coming for three year old filly Mosheen to upset More Joyous in the Myer Classic, with the Thousand Guineas runner up backed from $6.00 to $4.60 at Sportingbet Australia.
More Joyous remains the $2.50 favourite but Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said punters were convinced Mosheen could cause an upset.
โAs soon as we posted the market, we took a bet of $20,000 to $4000 each way on Mosheen and the money has just kept coming,โ Sullivan said.
โShe gets a huge weight pull over the rest of the field as the only three year old in the race and that puts her right in contention.
โShe looks a better chance here than she would be against Atlantic Jewel in the Wakeful so it looks a smart training move.โ
Sullivan said More Joyous had her supporters as well but nothing like the amount of the money that normally comes for the glamour mare.
โMore Joyous is always very popular with punters but they have deserted her a little bit here,โ he said.
โWe have taken one bet of $20,000 at $2.40 but that is about it at this stage although she will be our worst result tomorrow for sure.โ
