Cliff’s Edge did everything right to win last Saturday in the Caulfield Classic and punters are backing him again, this time in the Drummond Golf Vase (2040m) this Saturday at Moonee Valley.
The Darren Weir trained three year old was a dominant winner last Saturday, but to be fair, he was gifted the lead, he walked in front and was aided by the bias. Still, the punters are keen, backing him into $2.40 after opening $2.50.
He is the new favourite ahead of the Thousand Guineas winner Aloisia, who did get to $2.45 from $2.50 but is at $2.60 now with the support for Cliff’s Edge. That pair really stifle the market with the next best being Sanctioned ($8.00 – $8.50 – $8.00).
