Snitzerland has been well backed to win Friday night’s Group 1 Programmed Moir Stakes at Moonee Valley with punters cutting the odds of the Gerald Ryan trained four-year-old from $5.50 into $4.60 at Sportingbet.
“Within minutes of posting our market we were hit with a $10,000 bet for Snitzerland,” Sportingbet Australia spokesman Andrew Brown said.
“She’s first up in a high-pressure race but punters clearly think she’ll run well,” Brown said.
Snitzerland is now a third favourite behind Bel Sprinter at $4 and Buffering at $4.40. The Peter Snowden trained Epaulette is a $5 chance at Sportingbet.
“Bel Sprinter will be suited with the fast pace up front and after trialling well, looks the one to beat,” Brown said.
Moment Of Change at $8 and Samaready at $8.50 are the other two runners under double figures.
