Bookmakers are pushing out the price of Masked Crusader when it comes to the Inglis Guineas (1400m) at Rosehill on Saturday.
The Team Hawkes trained three year old won like it was a barrier trial last Saturday hence why he backs up, but he has eased in early betting, out to $1.85 after opening $1.70, which was too short for a horse who hasn’t done anything compared to some of his rivals.
One of those rivals is Dawn Passage, who gave them a spanking three weeks ago in the Hawkesbury Guineas. He got down to as short as $3.00 from $3.70 but has settled at $3.30.
The one that has been specked at big odds is Baroda, a Team Edmonds trained galloper from the Gold Coast. Got to $21 from $61, but is now a $26 chance.
