Mackintosh has been so so in three runs this prep but a drop in grade and up to 2000m is the right recipe for a win in the Hill Stakes (2000m) this Saturday at Randwick according to the Sportsbet.com.au punters.
The Chris Waller trained galloper last raced in the George Main where he sat near a brutal speed and was gassed on the turn behind the champion mare Winx. Been a while since he has been up to 2000m but the punters are keen, backing him into $2.60 from $3.20.
The other key firmer is the Group l winner Sense Of Occasion, who was just fair himself in the George Main. He too will love the rise to the ten furlongs. He was $4 in from $4.60 but is now at $4.40 with the support for Mackintosh.
The move at odds has been for the Ron Leemon trained mare Perfect Rhyme, who did touch $7 from $10 but is now at $8.
