Auvray has been backed at a price in Tancred Stakes betting
The early support when it comes to the Tancred Stakes (2400m) this Saturday at Rosehill lies with the Richard Freedman trained Auvray.
Freedman has this horse absolutely flying at the moment and comes off a last start spank job of his rivals in the Sky High Stakes (2000m). Not ideally suited at WFA, but up to 2400m is a big tick. He opened $13 and some strong each way bets has rolled in, firming his price to $10.
Favourite for the race is the last start Ranvet winner Gailo Chop at $2.25 and in early betting has been easy after opening $2.10. He holds the call over Melbourne Cup winner Almandin ($3.50-$3.60).
