Punters are keeping their powder relatively dry when it comes to the final race at Doomben this Saturday, the PJ O’Shea Stakes (2200m).
Doomben Cup winner Kenedna is the favourite at $3.60 but hasn’t been backed with great confidence at this stage, like most in the race, but she does hold the call over Sixties Groove at $4.20 with a further 30 cents out to Life Less Ordinary.
The only key firmer at this stage is Shillelagh, who had no luck in the Doomben and was good late. She opened $5.50 and has firmed half a point. There has been a couple of each way bets roll in for Mrs Madrid ($71-$51).
