Jonker short odds favourite for the George Moore Stakes

Jonker has opened as the favourite in Saturday's George Moore Stakes

Jonker broke the track record when winning first up and with that, is a short priced favourite with Sportsbet for the George Moore Stakes (1200m) this Saturday at Doomben.

The Tony Gollan trained galloper produced brilliant sustained speed from the front when breaking the track record three weeks ago in the Keith Noud. He has opened $2.80, much shorter than the double figures he opened first up.

Hard Empire opened $6 and has eased a half point while Usmanov, who rises a bit in grade/depth, is at $8.50 and unchanged. The Odyssey, another speed runner, is a $9 chance.
