Geelong Classic winner Induna has been installed as equal third favourite for the Victoria Derby following his blistering win today.
Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said the Darley gelding looked a real Derby contender with a number of other contenders falling by the wayside.
“I thought Induna was super impressive and we have him level with Sangster on the third line of betting at $8.00,” Sullivan said.
“We only have Manawanui and Niagara ahead of him in the market at $3.70 and $4.40 respectively and I think they are both worth risking.
“Manawanui is obviously the class runner but he has been up a long time while I think Niagara runs have been a little flattering and am keen to keep laying him too.”
Perfect Punch who ran third behind Induna is next in the market at $10 with Zabeellionaire and Sabrage also in contention at $11.
