The money was spot on in the first with Ideas Man going $5.50-$3.70 favourite throughout the afternoon.
Ideas Man was the second most popular runner in terms of money held in the Inglis Banner (1000 metres) behind Mildred ($4.80-$3.50-$4.20).
Bella Nipotina ($10-$6.50) was a notable firmer.

RACE TWO
Fine Dane destroyed plenty of multis by winning the Strathmore Bendigo Bank Handicap (955 metres).
The John Moloney runner only held a sixth of what Esperance did despite jumping a clear second pick at $4.20.
Esperance was one of the best supported runners all day. He jumped at $1.85 and held 77 percent of the total investment.

RACE THREE
The Antler Luggage Fillies Classic (1600 metres) was a fantastic betting race with most of the field given a chance.
Fascino ($4-$4.60) and Asiago ($5) were the most popular horses, holding more than double what the next horse (Nudge $6.50-$5.50) did. La Falaise ($7-$6.50) and Aspect Ratio ($5) also had strong support.

Another odds-on favourite went by the way side, this time Villami in the PFD Food Services Crockett Stakes (1200 metres).
Villami went around with more than half the market and was more than three times as popular as Wayupinthesky ($5-$6.50) which was second pick in the market.
Braodwayandfourth ($11-$17) had some specking but was largely ignored.

Sartorial Splendor led throughout to take out the Australia Stakes (1200 metres) much to the delight of his backers.
The colt out of the Hayes, Hayes & Dabernig barn held 15 percent of the market and was backed in from $4.20 in the morning to $3.40 at the jump.
Only Condos Express ($3.20-$2.90) held more.

TAB wasn’t taking any chances with Soul Patch with his price not fluctuating a great deal throughout the afternoon in the Drummond Golf Vase (2040 metres).
The colt opened the day at $5 and got to as low as $4.60 before starting a $4.80 chance.
The Ken Keys runner, ridden by Dwayne Dunn, was second in terms of total hold behind Battenburg ($2.50-$2.80) which accounted for 45 percent of the market.

The move for Hunting Horn lasted most of the day in the McCafe Moonee Valley Gold Cup (2500 metres).
TAB had the Aidan O’Brien runner as much as $8 this morning but by the time the race jumped, $4.20 was on offer.
On the flip side, Humidor went $3.70-$4.60 while Downdraft had good backing at the $4.20 with Mr Quickie going around as favourite despite drifting from $2.80-$3.80.

One TAB customer picked up $69,000 thanks to Chief Ironside’s upset victory in the Schweppes Crystal Mile (1600 metres).
The imported galloper attracted a big bet (see below) of $3,000 earlier in the day and blew out from $14-$26.
Cliff’s Edge ($11) was popular at the eachway quote but most of the money centre around Dreamforce ($4.20), Sikandarabad ($5.50-$6) and Gailo Chop ($5.50-$10). Madison County was $11 earlier in the week and jumped $6.50. Best Of Days ($11-$7) was another that firmed.

RACE NINE
The most popular runner in the Cox Plate (2040 metres) by far and away was Lys Gracieux.
TAB had her $3.50 once the barrier draw was conducted earlier in the week and since then, she was head and shoulders the punters pick.
Today, $3.40 was still on offer but the Japanese runner was crunched into $2.60 favourite and held more than double any other runner in the race.
Mystic Journey ($7-$8) was next best supported in front of Avilius ($10-$13), Castelvecchio ($8.50-$6.50-$8.50) and Te Akau Shark ($17-$15-$18-$16).
Lys Gracieux was responsible for 32 percent of the money on the race since Wednesday.

One of the best backed runners all day across the country was Amangiri.
The Team Hawkes runner delivered a hammer blow to TAB as she led throughout, much to the delight of favourite backers and multi players.
TAB went up $5.50 on Wednesday and she was hammered into a dominant $2.40 favourite.
She held six times more money than anything else in the race and accounted for nearly 60 percent of the market.

RACE ONE
Favourite backers were off the mark in the Forum Group Kirkham Plate (1000 metres).
Most of the money was riding with Anders ($2.50-$2.70) and Close To Me ($2.40-$2.60) who between them accounted for 80 percent of the total investment.
A distant third in terms of popularity was See You Soon ($9-$7.50-$8) held a fifth of the money that the favourite (Close To Me) did.

But I Know defied the betting drift to take out this weeks’ TAB Highway Handicap (1800 metres).
The Ross Stitt runner was $4.40 in the morning but got out to $6 at the jump. Despite the drift she was still the second most popular runner behind Fast Talking which also got out late.
Fast Talking held 44 percent of the money. There were moves for Lord Desanimaux ($19-$9-$12), Dew Drop ($26-$9) and Couro ($12).

Diamond Thunder ($3.60-$3.20) landed some good bets in taking out the Southern Cross Group Brian Crowley Stakes (1200 metres).
Money was strong throughout the day for the Mark Newnham runner which held approximately a quarter of the total investment. Faretti ($$2.15-$2.50) was the most popular runner with TAB customers while Regimental Band ($5-$4.40) was a notable firmer.

Favourite backers were cheering after Greyworm led throughout to win the Robrick Lodge Filante Handicap (1400 metres).
One of the more popular runners throughout the afternoon, Greyworm accounted for 60 percent of the market hold but did get out late in betting. The Team Hawkes runner was $2.20 in the morning and bottomed out at $1.95 before starting at $2.05.

The early money for Madam Rouge proved spot on in the ICD Property Nivison (1200 metres).
The Chris Waller mare had been $6 on Wednesday and $4.60 this morning, however, the latter quote didn’t last long with punters jumping on the daughter of Zoustar early this morning. She was into $4 at 9:30am and bottomed out at $3.80 which is what she jumped at.
Madam Rouge’s win stopped the heavily supported Reelem In Ruby ($3.70) from landing a number of big bets. She was twice as popular as anything else. Pretty Inpink ($6) had admirers.

Master Of Wine was backed like a good thing and got the job done for TAB punters in the Clubs NSW Tattersall’s Club Cup (2400 metres).
Going around nearly three times as popular as the second elect (Attention Run) in the market, Master Of Wine held nearly 60 percent of the total investment and was extremely popular with multi players.
As a result, the $2.20 favourite delivered a big losing result to TAB.

Kubrick was the one of the first horses backed on Wednesday for the running of the Bondi Stakes (1600 metres).
TAB went up $5.50 about the Chris Waller runner and the money began to arrive as soon as the market opened. Today, he was $4.20-$3.80 and the best tried runner late.
Going around with the most money in the race, the Brenton Avdulla-ridden galloper was TAB’s worst result. Bottega ($4.40) and Just Thinkin ($3.70) had plenty of support too with little separating the trio in terms of money held.

The most open betting race of the day provided one of the roughest results of the day.
What Could Be ($31-$71) was a big drifter in the market and one of the least popular runners in the race. Arriving in time under Brock Ryan, the pair beat Roosevelt ($12), Poised To Strike ($6.50 – most popular horse) and Cuban Royale ($41) in a rough affair with the First 4 paying huge across the totes.
Aylmerton ($23-$7) and Paquirri ($18-$7) were significant firmers in a race that saw many of the longer priced brigade come in for some specking.
