RACE ONE
Away Game delivered a winning start to punters when leading throughout in the Widden Stakes (1100 metres).
The Magic Millions winner was responsible for nearly 70 percent of the market and held seven times more money than what Philizzy ($3.50-$5) did.
Of the others, the move for September Run ($7.50-$5) continued today after $14 was posted on Wednesday.

RACE TWO
The money was spot on in the Iron Jack Canonbury Stakes (1100 metres) despite the more popular Global Quest only managing to finish second.
Prague ($4.20) had attracted good money throughout the day and was easily best tried to beat the favourite, which accounted for 56 percent of the total investment.
Nitrous ($8-$6) was tried late.

RACE THREE
Greenspan was very popular all week.
The John Bateman runner was $4.40 when the market first opened on Wednesday and was backed almost immediately. Today, the quote was $3.50 and got into as low as $3.10 before starting a popular $3.40 favourite.
It was more than twice as popular as anything else in the race.

RACE FOUR
One of the best backed runners all day did the right thing by her backers in the 50 Years ATC Members Recognition (1500 metres).
The Chris Waller-trained mare was heavily tried throughout the week, going from an opening price of $3.90 on Wednesday into $3.10 early morning on raceday.
Further support saw her jump a very popular $2.60 favourite. Night Of Power, which had been installed a $2.90 fav, drifted out to be a $3.80 second pick.
Romani Girl held 65 percent of the total investment.

RACE FIVE
TAB took another big hit here when Subpoenaed was impressive in taking out the SKY Racing Active Handicap (1400 metres).
Heavily tried ever since markets were released on Wednesday, Subpoenaed was $1.85-$1.65 today, the Chris Waller mare held nearly three quarters of the market despite being red figures.
She had opened $3.80 and the first bet written was $2,000 at that quote.
Overall, Subpoenaed was the best backed runner across the country today.

RACE SIX
She’s Ideel made it three straight races in which a heavily backed runner saluted.
The Schweppes Handicap (2000 metres) was dominated by two horses from a betting perspective and punters were spot on.
Costello ($10-$5-$6) had been the first horse backed when markets opened, with double figures on offer for the David Payne runner.
Today it was She’s Ideel which was $3.40-$2.60 and held more than double the amount of money that Costello did.
The pair were the two best supported runners in terms of money held and accounted for nearly 70 percent of the fixed odds hold.
Birth Of Venus ($5-$4.40) was a shortener late.

RACE SEVEN
Standout caused a minor upset when successful in the TAB Expressway Stakes (1200 metres).
The Gerald Ryan-trained runner was a drifter in betting. After being $5 in the morning, $8.50 was on the table at the jump.
Standout was the third most popular in the race but only held a fraction of what the favourite, Alizee ($2.10-$1.90), did.
Alizee went around with over half the total investment. Kolding ($4-$3.60-$4.20) was the subject of a good move earlier in the day but he drifted out late in betting.

RACE EIGHT
A late firm for Royal Tudor paid dividends in the Ranvet Handicap (1400 metres).
Royal Tudor was $9-$7 and although only holding 10 percent of the money that the popular favourite Tony’s Reward ($4.80-$3.50), proved too strong at the finish.
Tony’s Reward held more than 50 percent of the market while Destiny’s Own ($6.50) attracted some big investments as did Manhattan Mist ($8).

RACE NINE
Punters came for a few of them in the final event on the card – the Hyland Race Colours Handicap (1200 metres).
Lashes ($4.40-$3.30-$3.60) was easily one of the best moves in the race while they came for Reloaded nice and early this morning. TAB went up $10 about the Chris Waller runner which was backed into $6.50 off the back of strong eachway money.
Dawn Dawn ($10) and River Bird ($10) had admirers while Roheryn, the winner, hovered around the $9-$10 mark for most of the day before jumping at the latter quote.

RACE ONE
Punters left it in the bag early with Pain The Town Two causing a minor upset in the IVE Print Handicap (1600 metres).
Thousand Wishes was sent out a very popular favourite despite going from $2 to $2.25 late in betting. She was responsible for 65 percent of the total investment.
Pain The Town Two ($5) was the second most popular runner in the race but held around a fifth of the money that the fav did.

RACE TWO
Nonconformist landed some nice bets in taking out the John Moule Handicap (1600 metres).
The Grahame Begg-trained runner was easily the best tried outside the favourite Mr Cancun ($4-$3.90), with the pair dominating the fixed odds hold.

Favourite backers were reeling after the heavily tried High Bridge failed to run a place in the All Star Mile At MRC March 14 Handicap (2407 metres).
High Bridge went around with nearly twice as much money as anything else, however, it was the stablemate Vaucluse Bay ($4.60-$4.20) which led throughout.

Diamond Effort landed a number of decent bets in taking out the Robert Hunter Handicap (1100 metres) in fine style.
Going around with approximately 33 percent of the market, Diamond Effort was 50 percent more popular than the next best in the market which was Propelle ($4.80-$5.50).
Of the others, there was continued eachway support for Moor Wanted ($9.50-$6.50) which was $13 earlier in the week.

Despite being a noted drifter in betting, Mildred took out the Lamar’s Hotel Sth Melbourne Chairman’s Stakes (1000 metres).
The daughter of Hinchinbrook, which gave trainer Grahame Begg a winning double, was $7.50 out to $12 as a result of strong support for several others in the race.
Aryaaf ($2.70) went around with the most but Rock Of Kryptonite, $11 at one stage during the week, was crunched into $3.50 after being $5.50 in the morning.
There was also good money for Ideas Man ($4-$6) and Castlecomer ($9.50-$7.50).

RACE SIX
Just Benjamin was carrying the hopes of punters in the first leg of the Quaddie – the Mal Seccull Handicap (1800 metres).
A son of Epaulette, Just Benjamin was crunched into even money after being $2.15 in the morning. The Anthony Freedman runner held 66 percent of the total investment.
Overall he was nearly six times as popular as the second pick in the market, Aktau ($2.70-$3.60).

RACE SEVEN
Despite a drift in the market it was Super Seth that proved too strong in the Manfred Stakes (1200 metres).
Going from $4.40 in the morning to $5.50 at the jump, Super Seth was only the third most popular runner in the race after being overshadowed by the Dalasan and Spend ($4.60) in that regard.
Giving Anthony Freedman a running double, Super Seth upset the big plonk on Dalasan ($2.30-$2.40-$2) which was nearly six times as popular as he was.

Jungle Edge cost the TAB plenty by powering home in the W.J Adams Stakes (1000 metres).
Mick Bell’s stable star was $34 on opening and still $31 this morning. Getting in to as low as $17 after the scratching of $8 chance Wagner, Jungle Edge jumped at $23 but attracted solid eachway money (as always!).
Humma Humma ($4.40) held twice as much as the second pick in the market in Splintex ($5.50), while Miss Leonidas ($7-$9) and Bon’s Away ($7) had their share of support as did Sisstar ($7.50).

RACE NINE
Great Duchess was the most notable mover in the final event on the program – the Catanach’s Jewellers Handicap (1400 metres).
Opening the day as a $9 chance, she was backed from $6.50-$5.50 in the latter stages of betting.
Ken’s Dream ($9) was backed into single figures after being juicy eachway odds for most of the betting while the two favourites drifted alarmingly late.
Fabric ($2.60-$3.40) and Never Again ($4.40-$3.90-$4.60) were both unplaced.
