A poor barrier trial at Rosehill this morning from Vancouver has seen the Waterhouse trained colt displaced as favourite for the $1 million Golden Rose next Saturday.
Godolphin colt Exosphere now heads the market with WilliamHill.com.au at $3 – in from $5 – with Press Statement second in-line at $3.80.
“Vancouver’s now out to $4.60 and the punters certainly didn’t waste any time backing the nearest rivals after their performances runs on the weekend,’” WilliamHill.com.au’s Tim Ashworth said.
“I’d imagine Gai [Waterhouse] would be a little concerned, but if anyone can craft a quick turnaround in from in Sydney, it’s Gai.”
William Hill has also created more than 20 feature doubles for this year’s Spring Carnival, including six for next weekend’s Golden Rose. View them here
