Global racing powerhouse Godolphin is eyeing off another big race as they have the favourite Etymology for tomorrow’s Launceston Cup (2400 metres).
Having claimed the Caulfield Cup and Melbourne Cup already this season, along with a swag of other features, Godolphin look hard to beat in feature on the Apple Isle and TAB customers are piling in to the James Cummings-trained runner.
Etymology accounts for over 75 percent of the total investment on the $250,00 Launceston Cup so far and has firmed in $2.80-$2.50 since the market opened.
Local hope Eastender ($4.60) is clearly the next best in the market.
“Etymology has been racing in superb fashion so it’s no wonder our customers have come for him early,” TAB’s Andrew Georgiou said.
“He has racked up three straight wins including one in Listed company last start and with the James Cummings stable flying, he is a deserved favourite.
“At this stage he his holding nearly 80 percent of the early money.”
