Randwick – Kensington
$25 Win/$75 Place Chapelco R3 @ $11 Win (BetEasy), Place (Tote)
Randwick – Kensington Overview:
Concede his efforts have been ordinary this time in, but on Wednesday you’re getting a decent enough price to see if he’s actually going any good because it’s been a while since he has faced a field as weak as this and the last time he did, he was winning. The key to him is getting complete control in front and I think with Tim Clark aboard from a good gate, that should eventuate. Vinnie Power likely comes over but highly doubt he’ll apply pressure and at the $11, each way, I think he’s worth something on at the odds in what is a very winnable race.
$100 Win Assertive Approach R2 @ $3.5 (TAB)
Sandown Overview: If you knew 100% this bloke was right and he’d handle the wet track, he’d be an odds on pop. You’re getting $3.50/thereabouts because of those two unknown factors but I think those factors can be answered positively. On breeding, he should swim being by Akeed Mofeed and re fitness, his two recent Flemington jumpouts have been nearly the standout of the respective mornings. The debut win was narrow but the form has been good and though Spryzen is up and going, and in really good form winning 2/2, Assertive Approach does look above average.
