Corowa
$100 Win Pintang Prince R6 @ $3.5 (Sportsbet)
Corowa Overview:
Admittedly will need luck in running, but he is the bet of the day Pintang Prince. Adrian Corboy has this gelding flying I feel. Has been great/unlucky in all four runs this time in, his last start seeing him bolt up at Wangaratta and landing good bets at odds. That was May 23 and has been kept up to the mark with a very sharp trial win at that track last Tuesday. Will need luck from the inside gate given he can settle off the pace, but if the breaks go his way, I think he’ll be too good.
Pakenham Synthetic
$5 Win/$20 Place Satisfied Mind R2 @ $19/$6 (TAB)
$5 Win/$20 Place Floridante R4 @ $23/$6.5 (Sportsbet)
$10 Win Parlay 3,4 = $50 Cost
Fighting Faith R3
Fighting Dragon R8
Starvirgo R9
Pakenham Synthetic Overview:
Think there are a couple of decent plays at odds, starting with Satisfied Mind in the second. Didn’t mind him at odds last start on the Ballarat Synthetic and not much went right for him behind the speed in a bit of an ugly watch. Draws out, so should get clear air and at near $20, is certainly worth having something on. The other each way play is Floridante in the fourth. Hadn’t really set the world on fire in her opening two runs before going to the Ballarat Synthetic where she was building good momentum until she got stopped in her tracks. $20+ looks silly. Give the sneaky Parlay strength.
Quirindi
$20 Place Parlay 3,4 = $100 Cost
Chambermaid R2
All Day R3
Jamaican Dream R5
Noel’s Gift R6
Quirindi Overview:
Could almost give up the punt and start buying apartment blocks given the amount of places I’ve the past few days so let’s see how this one goes. Chambermaid was a bit erratic last time out at the Brook but did make ground late. Aaron Bullock is a strong rider and hopefully will stand over it and punch it home. All Day was good last start in a Rosehill Highway and should do no work in the run from the draw. Hopefully can sit closer, likewise Jamaican Dream in the fifth, who has been well supported his past couple but has got too far out of his ground. Noel’s Gift was enormous in the Gooree Cup last time, sitting wide no cover out the back but still toughed it out to place. Too short for mine at the moment at $3.5, so hopefully gets to $4+ and can get around $1.7-$1.8 for the place.
