Wagga
$40 Win/$60 Place Darlamax R2 @ $15/$4.6 (Sportsbet)
Wagga Overview:
Might need a run or two, but at the odds, happy to find out just how forward Darlamax is. Debuted at Dunkeld in November last year and I thought he was pretty good late behind Boots Tarrington. That maiden stacked up really well relative to the day times wise and it’s produced four winners. Had a jumpout just under three weeks back at Cranbourne and though pushed out, thought he responded well. It’s a very open race with a lot of unknowns, this bloke included. But $15, I think, is overs. Hoping so anyway.
Bendigo
$5 Win/$25 Place Lazy Bear R8 @ $31/$7.5 (Sportsbet)
$70 All Up @ $2.88 (BetEasy)
Harbour Views R5 Win
River House R7 Place
Bendigo Overview:
Harbour Views does look a space job if he shows any kind of improvement from the debut win at Warrnambool, where he was smashed in betting and despite traffic difficulties, he was much too good. Big track and extra trip looks ideal, should be winning. River House is third up from a spell and is getting to peak fitness. Pulled up lame fresh before last time out getting back, working home well but just dying on the run. He’s ready to win and looks a good thing to run top three. The one at stupid odds is Lazy Bear. He was confidently supported last start on his home track at Kyneton but had no luck at all on a very messy day where the wider the better and he just got into a nasty spot. Senior jock on, firmer footing, an inside gate…I think $31 is well and truly worth something on each way.
