Market could change if Crime Wave runs on Tuesday and is scratched, so roughly 15c in deductions if that happens, but I’m happy to cop that sort of deduction if that eventuates because Fashion Icon clearly looks the horse to beat. Thought she was really good first up behind a promising one in Star Alibi before stepping up to 1450m where she got back, carted wide on the turn and let down strongly to run second to Myboycolly. Both races have produced a couple of subsequent winners so the form reads well and Fashion Icon was accepted for a 1400m maiden at Coffs on Sunday, but instead runs here over the mile, which looks a big tick the way she’s racing. I have serious doubts on the form around Crime Wave, likewise Brazenbrook, and High Flight is yet to win a race in 23 outings. If you were going to have a saver bet, it would be Oakfield Icon, who is racing as if 1600m will suit and brings decent enough provincial form.
