Randwick:Race Two Number 2 Souchez (3rd):
This was clearly the run of the race. Sat wide no cover for the trip, he was first up…had every right to drop out, but he kept on very strongly. He is certainly not out of the Slipper mix.
Race Six Number 5 Slightly Sweet (6th):
I thought this girl was a real sleeper run in the Guy Walter. Had no hope due to the slow tempo, but her last 200m in restricted room was excellent. Ticking over a beautifully and a good win isn’t far away.
Race Eight Number 5 Generalife (4th):
If you backed him, it was a nightmare to watch. Clear run and he wins IMO. Clearly knocking on the door to win and it’ll come very soon.
Race Nine Number 2 My Favorite (2nd):
Rode for the track and it nearly paid off. He is better when ridden with cover, so with weight relief and a cold ride next start, you’ll be collecting.
Caulfield:
Race One Number 11 Koroibete (8th):
I am convinced he is flying, but he is just having no luck. Missed the start here and that was the end of his chances. Keep following him.
Race Five Number 8 Bow Creek (1st) and 12 Rising Romance (6th):
The winner was just world class. Bungled the start yet won with ease. Deserved favourite for the Australian Cup, and he is the bet. Saver will be Rising Romance. Her run, with no luck at all, was fantastic.

Randwick:
The track:
The tracks in Melbourne copped major criticism for their bias during the Spring. Randwick needs to cop it too. That track was disgraceful.
Race Two Number 1 Telperion (4th):
Even allowing for bias, I thought he was a bit disappointing in the straight. There was good speed in front, and he didn’t ping at all. Not a Slipper horse.

Angus Armanasco Stakes:
From a maiden to Group ll the winner…that says it all really. Very ordinary bunch of fillies.
All Clear
Doomben Race Five Number 3 Right Or Wrong (3rd)- Robbie Fradd:
This reminded me of Mosse and his ride on Americain in the BMW…the slaughter of 2016 is all over. Robbie Fradd takes the prize for this effort.
