There was some great racing right across Australia on Saturday, and while there were no feature races, the depth across the board was very strong. Who caught our attention on the track? Find out down below: FOLLOW:
(Forgive) Race One Number 3 Lieder (4th):
Prepared to forgive this horse. He just hasn’t been able to let down this time in in two runs, both on shift wet tracks. He will be much better on top of the ground, and follow him then, because the talent is definitely there.
Race Three Number 13 Tilla Bell Rings (9th):
Keep an eye on this gelding. He got no luck at all in the straight when appearing to travel beautifully. Had to be held up and eased to the outside and then worked home well late. Could well pick up a city race if placed right.
Race Four Number 11 Recalculate (5th):
Another runner that had no luck in the straight. Looked to be bolting early on in the straight and was about to get clear, but then got shoved back in a pocket. Picked up and surged late. Slick jump out win on Tuesday, and he backed it up with a good run here. He’ll go close to winning wherever he races next.
Race Four Number 3 Our Voodoo Prince (5th):
Liked him today, and my confidence was boosted when there was market support, but after a nice run off the speed, he found absolutely nothing in the wrong home and plodded. Never again.
