Resident tipster Adam Page takes a look at each of Saturday’s feature meetings around the country and lists his horses to follow and horses to forget at their next run/runs.
Paret- He’s a good one. A really good one. Has no idea what he is doing but once he puts it together, there is a big win in him. Should have won if he did everything right.
Don’t Give A Damn- Not sure he will beat Suncraze next week if he gets a run in the Anniversary, but he looks a serious contender for the Country Championships. Very exciting prospect.
Zenalicious- Not sure she’s a Myer horse, but there is a win in her. She had the most improvement of the Pendant runners and was really good late.
Sir Plush- Not a follow, but well done to all concerned. Went off the boil and looked cooked, but he spanked some nice types yesterday.
Imanui- Combination of non winner and a horse that is crying out for a track with give in it. Whilst he is racing on these hard tracks, he will find it hard to win at this level.
Euro Angel- Surely that’s the last time anyone tips her. She’s a fresh horse only and the stats back that up. Hard to trust beyond first up.
Pariah- Boom on him well and truly gone. Flattered by the ride to win first up. Might be better suited the Melbourne way. That’s his saving grace. Otherwise he’s off to a stud in North Queensland.
Omei Sword- The run in isolation, the run was a pass mark. But this was her D-Day and she was given every chance.
Aloisia- Lovely run from what I think will be the Oaks winner. Should have run second and would have gone close. Thousand Guineas is her Semi Final. GF is the Oaks.
Eshtiraak- Not helped by a negative ride. Very good effort considering that. He’s going well, and though the races will get harder, I think he can measure up.
Thunder Teddington- Galloped on and pulled up badly lame, so a clear forgive. A big tick also to Sherlock Holmes first up.
I Did It Again- Painful watch. How he was there on the line…amazing effort. Should have won.
Brave Smash- Not sacking off that. That heavy bump might have taken the stuffing out of him. Pace wasn’t hot either which didn’t help.
Amelie’s Star- Winner was impressive, but this girl was outstanding considering where she was in the run. There’s a good win in her I’m sure.
Ravi- She jumped well, but D Dunn, as he’s done plenty of times on this mare, just dragged her back. Should have won. Simple as that. Kenedna also a big tick. She was outstanding last 100m and through the line.
Sanadaat- Not sure beyond 1200m is her go, but given she had the sweet run, she was a Plain Jane I would have thought. Back in trip should suit but I couldn’t back her.
Revolving Door- Money muncher. Couldn’t have been ridden any better and just found nothing.
