Race Two Number 1 Cylinder Beach (3rd):
Really pleasing return from this Queenslander, who is Group l performed yet is still a maiden. He got a fair way back in the run here before making up solid ground near the inside for an eye catching third. Go back home and he will be winning races, or he could head South and win a race like the Carbine Club/Sandown Guineas.
(Forgive) Race Eight Number 12 Now’s The Time (11th):
Stuck wide no cover and faded out of the race late. First up run was a beauty, so forget he went around here. Don’t drop off him.
(Forgive) Race Eight Number 1 Pasadena Girl (4th):
This girl was enormous in defeat. Wide no cover out the back and had every right to drop out and run last, but she still attacked the line for fourth. Provided she has taken no harm from this, she looks an absolute moral in the Oaks.
Race Eight Number 9 Rekindled Power (7th):
Has promised a fair bit, but has only produced a Bendigo maiden win. Can’t be trusted.
Race Two Number 1 Lankan Rupee (3rd):
Five time Group l winner who was expected to put this field away, but he found nothing when asked. Hopefully he has pulled up injured which would excuse him. If nothing is found, put a line through him heading towards the Manikato and Darley Classic.
Race Seven Number 13 Noble Protector (15th):
Did nothing at all, like she did first up. Back to the paddock and start again I say, because there is no way she will be winning Group l races anytime soon, if not ever.
As good as he was on Press Statement, he produced a ride he’d like to forget here on Pasadena Girl. Stuck wide no cover out the back and just stayed when I think he had an opportunity to get in. No doubt had she got cover, she wins the race.
