Dragon Leap would likely be deep odds on for the race given he was an impressive of the key lead, the Avondale Guineas two weeks ago, and looks as though he will eat up 2400m. But the reason he is $2.50 is that he is taking on a star filly in Two Illicit, who made last start Group l winner Travelling Light look like a camel when spanking her at Te Rapa.
That pair completely dominate betting, with the lone firmer being Sherwood Forest, who is $12 in from $13. He ran third to Dragon Leap in the Avondale Guineas and gets recent Group l winner Michael Walker to take the steer.
