Chantrea heads odds in the Starstruck Classic

Chantrea is the favourite for Saturday's Starstruck Classic

Chantrea heads the market with Sportsbet to take out the feature race for the Mares this Saturday at Ascot, the Starstruck Classic (1600m).

The Lindsey Smith trained mare resumed two weeks ago in the Jungle Dawn and worked home strongly to run third to She’s Alright ($15-$13-$15). Fitter and up to the mile, with Pike steering, looks a good race for the mare. She’s favourite at $3.10 and rock solid.

The class runner of the field is Dance Music for Simon Miller and back to Mares grade, she’s been well supported. Opened $3.50 and is now into $3.20. She sits on the second line of betting ahead of Serenity Bay, who is an $8.50 chance.
