Kinglike was scratched from the Blue Sapphire on Wednesday in favour of the Caulfield Sprint (1100m) this Saturday, and the Sportsbet.com.au punters are backing the judgement of trainer Peter Moody because he has clearly been the best backed runner.
The three year old scored a dominant first up win at Flemington in the Danehill Stakes (1200m) but hasn’t been seen since. Despite that little break, the punters are warming to him big time. He opened $7.50 and is now into $4.40 and could well challenge for the favourite tag which is currently held by Group l placegetter Ball Of Muscle ($3.30-$3.10).
Kuro ($4.50-$4.80-$4.20) has also has his admirers while Lumosty, who resumes for Robert Smerdon, has been completely friendless, out to $3.80 from her opening quote of $3.30.
