Britannicus tipped to make amends in the Australian Steeplechase

Britannicus heads the market for the Australian Steeplechase

Brierly runner up Britannicus is favourite with Ladbrokes.com.au for the Australian Steeple (3900m) this morning at Sandown Lakeside.

The Symon Wilde trained jumper was all over a winner in the Brierly at Warrnanbool but handled the sharp turn onto the course proper badly and the ground he gave up there clearly cost him the win. Looking to make amends here, he’s favourite at $2.30.

Elvison, an impresive winner at Warrnambool, is at $3.10 on the second line of betting, clear of Once Were Lost and Bit Of A Lad, both are at $9.00.
