The Candy Man is almost becoming as popular as his namesake and has been well backed again with Sportsbet.com.au to continue his rise and win the Brisbane Cup (2400m).
The Barry Baldwin trained grey faced his toughest test last time out in the Premiers Cup and passed with flying colours to win impressively. Despite a poor draw, he’s clearly been the most popular, into $5 after opening $6.50.
Favourite for the race is Sixties Groove, who is at $3.80, out from $3.60, after running well behind Kenedna in the O’Shea last Saturday. There has been good specking for a couple of runners, namely Miss Admiration ($35-$31) and Sin To Win ($23-$20).
