The Peter Gelagotis-trained Chicago Bull has been backed to take out Thursday's Maribyrnong Plate
Chicago Bull has been a boom horse for a few weeks and the punters are keen to bet up on the colt when he debuts in the Maribyrnong Plate (1000m) at Flemington on Thursday.
Peter Gelagotis trains this colt, who looked very sharp in a Cranbourne jump out in mid October. He was heavily supported in the Inglis Banner on Cox Plate Day before being taken out and he’s been backed again. Opened $3.50 and was crunched to $2.40 but has settled at $2.60.
He is clearly the favourite though, with the WaterBott trained Vinicunca next best at $4.80 ahead of the Hayes/Dabernig trained Art Collection at $5.00, in from as much as $6.50.
