Overall Results (Since June 7): $5364 Profit
Bet One- Win- Kensington Race One Number 3 Tough Larry:
Looks to be a bit of depth to this maiden but I reckon he appeals the most. Beautifully bred gelding on debut for Chris Waller who has looked pretty sharp in several trials, two of which have come this prep over 800m where he has looked the part. Takes on some well performed stablemates, but J Mac on, I’ll take a chance on him.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win at $3.6 (BetEasy)
Bet Two- Each Way- Kensington Race Four Number 8 Keeper Girl:
I reckon the bookies are underestimating her. Yep she brings inferior form compared to others, but they have been around the traps for a while and she’s a mare in form/up in trip, which is usually an ideal scenario. There are some real bludgers here you couldn’t back with confidence, so I think she’s worth an each way ticket.
Suggested Bet: $15 E/W at $16/$4 (BetEasy)
Bet Three- Each Way- Kensington Race Seven Number 2 Disturbance:
Another that I think is worth an each way ticket at odds. The Joseph/Jones stable trains this former kiwi, who really caught the eye first up at Moruya before racing on a bog at Albury where he was not comfortable at all. Third up back on top of the ground, he can sit much closer from the good draw and his form from NZ does read very well.
Suggested Bet: $10 E/W (Tote)
Bet Four- Quaddie- Ballarat Quaddie:
I think this quaddie could have some value in it, especially towards the latter end of it. Can go one out in the opening leg with Unlimited Ability, who has outstanding form next to his name. Second leg I’ve got the three main chances in betting, with an outsider in Prosecution, who can sprint well fresh. Third leg I’ve gone with five runners, most notably Mystical Spirit, who makes his Australian debut for Darren Weir. Last leg, you could stand See Me Exceed out, but she’s been disappointing this prep so I’ll include others.
Suggested Bet: $50 4/4-6-11-12/1-2-4-6-7/3-5-7-8= 62.5%
Bet Five- Quaddie- Ipswich Quaddie:
Tricky quaddie on a tricky track but here’s hoping. Going one out in the first leg via Capitulate, who returns as a gelding and has looked sharp in a couple of trials. Second leg I’ve gone with four runners, and hoping Shelter Lady goes close. The third leg looks a lottery so I’ve stuck with four runners likely to be in the market. Last leg is much the same with five runners, hoping Was It Worth It can bounce back third up.
Suggested Bet: $50 4/1-7-8-12/1-5-9-11/1-2-6-8-9= 62.5%
Total Spend: $180
