Canterbury Overview:
Gee I think the market gap between Bound To Win and Enamour is far too great. Concede the Snowden filly has trialled really well, but they have been 700m trials and potentially has to work from a tricky gate. Enamour will do no work from barrier one and has race experience on her side, running a closing second to the well performed Lanigera, who has form around Microphone. Subsequent trial last Friday at Randwick was outstanding…I’m really keen on her running well, likewise Ivy’s Court in the fourth. I’m stunned she is $26. I think Chris Waller has tested her to see if she’s a Saturday class horse at this time of year. The answer is no. Midweek grade is her go in life and she returns to this level for the first time. Her runs on face value have been plain, but if you break them down, they haven’t been too bad. I think firmer footing is a massive tick, she’s 2/3 at the track, draws to get a cheap run on the fence, which I dare say will be the place to be…can’t work out why she’s such a big price.
