Tuesday Results: $152 Loss
Last 10 Days: LLWWWWLWLL
Overall Results (Since June 7): $1584 Profit
Three race meetings set down for Tuesday, and overall it looks a pretty tough afternoon. Here are my five plays for the afternoon.
Bet One- Win- Warwick Farm Race One Number 2 Brilliant Choice:
I thought he’d be a clear cut fav. Just raced a touch keen when debuting over 1250m at Canterbury but despite that, he hit the front and looked home for a few strides but was nabbed near the peg by Maid Of Heaven, who likely goes around in the Ming Dynasty and is a filly I have time for. Respecting that form, blinkers first time, well placed for mine.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win at $3.5 (BetEasy)
Bet Two- Win- Sandown Race Five Number 5 Miss Pandanus:
Looks one of the better bets of the afternoon. Was several weeks between runs when racing over 1200m on the Lakeside course last time where she just looked in need of the run but her finale was pretty good I thought behind Memento, and that form has been franked. Up to 1400m, fitter, not as much depth…keen.
Suggested Bet: $40 Win at $2.8 (Sportsbet)
Bet Three- Win- Sandown Race Seven Number 3 Satori:
I’m hoping to get better than $5 on offer at the time of writing this. He trialled up enormous prior to resuming on the Synthetic at Geelong where he absolutely bolted in under Anthony Boyd and smashed the clock relative to the meeting. Draws outside Illumicon, so hoping he gets cover or the cart over. If so, the horse to beat.
Suggested Bet: $20 Win (Tote)
Bet Four- Win- Gold Coast Race Eight Number 2 Tabbing:
Given how well he is racing at the moment, I’m surprised $3+ is on offer. Strung together three sharp wins prior to racing in a decent 1200m race at Doomben where the bias probably didn’t help his cause when third to dominant winner Fiery Heights. Provided that hasn’t busted him, he looks the one to beat and appears to get a soft time of it on speed.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win (Tote)
Bet Five- Win- Balaklava Race Seven Number 3 Datura:
Looks a good meeting at Balaklava and most keen on this bloke. He was heavily backed when racing at Gawler last time but if you were on, you probably knew your money was toast after he did a power of work to find the front. Buried Treasure proved far too good but beat the rest comfortably. I would love Jamie Kah to take a sit with him so he can chase. Scared of the top weight, but Datura looks the one.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win at $2.3 (Sportsbet)
Total Spend: $170
