$10 E/W Up Trumpz R4 (Tote)
$10 Win Parlay 2,3= $40 Cost
Final Award R1
Valree R5
Frankely Awesome R6
Warwick Farm Overview:
I think there’s a couple of worthy throws at the stumps on an average program at Warwick Farm. Singles debuted at Wagga where she looked disinterested for the most part but warmed to the task and was very good late. Subsequent trial saw her close off very well under light riding. Red Dream strikes a very thin staying race in the third and gets weight relief after lumping 59kg in an okay effort at Wyong. Is a winner at Warwick Farm, down in the weights, Hippo on…worth a speck in a thin race. Up Trumpz is a Joe Cleary trained sprinter who I am hoping can tuck in for some cover off a likely hot speed. Race is full of milk drinkers or country horses being thrown in the deep end. He seems overs. The Parlay should see Final Award win the first. Valree was outstanding first up at Port Macquarie and seems overs at $7. Frankely Awesome is a very good looking filly resuming with potential Group l aspirations on the agenda. If she’s anywhere near right, I think she should be too good.
Sandown
$5 Win/$15 Place Real Discreet R2 (Tote)
$50 Win Jungle Fish R5 @ $2.45 (Neds)
$30 Early Quaddie= 66.66% (1-5-8/5-6-7-10-11/1/1-11-12)
Sandown Overview:
I think Real Discreet is worth a speck on debut for the Stokes team. The Pakenham trial was just fair but has since had a Mornington jumpout and looked much better when closing off under no real pressure. Tricky draw, but stable is 18% with their runners first up last 12 months. Jungle Fish looks a blacktype class mare who resumed in a maiden at Pakenham and while she probably didn’t beat much, she absolutely spanked them and ran okay time for the night. Tricky draw, straight to town, but she looks a mare of promise. With Shamwow out, I’ll take an Early Quaddie. The three big guns in the betting should fight the first out. Second leg I’ve gone with five, hoping Real Discreet wins to add some value. Terbium looks a potential blacktype class filly and should put them away in the third. The last leg is a bludger of a staying race. My thinking is it’s either going to be Nothin Leica High finally wins, or a blowout. The two blowout chances are Bijou Belle, who gets Blinkers first time and a soft gate for Linda Meech, with the other horse being Bint Cherokee, who comes out of a Moe maiden but the runner up has won at Sale to frank the form and this girl does have upside.
