Last 10 Days: LWLLWLLLLL
Overall Results (Since June 7): $2598 Profit
Bet One- Each Way- Newcastle Race Six Number 3 Cometus:
This meeting was transferred from Cessnock, so the depth isn’t strong for a normal Newcastle meet, but I think this bloke at around double figures represents value. Greg Hickman trains this colt, who comes through a 1400m maiden at Kembla where he got back and was slightly held up. Didn’t finish off as well as expected but was solid enough. If he can find a spot in the first half and get cover, I reckon he’s a solid each way gamble in a thin race.
Suggested Bet: $5 E/W (Tote)
Bet Two- Win- Albury Race Three Number 4 Joburg Flyer:
Tricky to be confident on an Albury track that’s rain affected, but this Hayes/Dabernig trained son of Turffontein does look extremely hard to beat. Ran over 1400m at the track last time where Cory Parish had him near the speed throughout and tried hard. Headed by French Politician but came again and just missed. Races as if the mile suits and the mile is no issue for him.
Suggested Bet: $20 Win (Tote)
Bet Three- Each Way- Mackay race One Number 2 Option:
I can’t believe the price he is. Just forget he went around in the Mackay Cup. Ridden totally upside down and rightfully dropped out to finish near last. He’s better when ridden cold, with cover, and building the revs, which is hopefully what should eventuate and at his best, he’s better than these. $8+ to find out.
Suggested Bet: $10 E/W at $8/$3.2 (Crownbet)
Bet Four- Win- Geelong Race Three Number 3 Doroza:
I reckon Matt Cumani has got a couple of really good chances based on recent jump outs, firstly with Doroza. Jumped out on July 19 at Ballarat in the OTI colours, where he had the box seat before getting the inside split and going on to do it quite comfortably. He’s well found in opening markets so I’d take the tote. Hopefully get $4+.
Suggested Bet: $100 Win (Tote)
Bet Five- Win- Geelong Race Five Number 1 Satori:
They didn’t miss Doroza, but I think they’ve missed Satori. $3.30 over his true odds IMO. Got him marked closer to even money, especially with a lovely looking speed map where he should lead. 2/2 to date in his career. He jumped out the same morning as Doroza and went just as good to the eye under a good hold. Jumps, runs, hopefully wins. Confident that scenario will unfold.
Suggested Bet: $100 Win at $3.30 (365)
Total Spend: $250
