Bet One- Win- Lismore Race One Number 5 Capitulate:
Former Clarry Conners runner that is now with Toby Edmonds. Comes through two very strong 2YO races last season when racing in Sydney and this is clearly a significant drop in grade/depth. Gelded, has trialled well and the Edmonds/Maloney combo has been absolutely lethal since they’ve started combining. Looks the winner.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win at $2.1 (Bet365)
Bet Two- Win- Lismore Race Two Number 3 Queen Of Kingston:
Tricky gate to overcome, but I think if she does, she looks the winner. Resumed over 1200m here a couple of weeks back where she got to last in the run and peeled wide, giving stablemate Almas a start but was far from disgraced in running second. Really good second up record. The only niggle is the 1200-1500 leap.
Suggested Bet: $40 Win at $3 (Bet365)
Bet Three- Win- Tamworth Race Seven Number 3 Social:
Most fascinating runner of the day. Formerly with Darren Bell but is now with Rod Northam. Showed really good promise when racing in Queensland, winning two of his three career outings. Hasn’t raced in over a year but I loved the way he finished off in his trial win at Scone a couple of weeks back. Market will be your guide. I think he’s got the class/brilliance to win.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win at $4.5 (Sportsbet)
Bet Four- Win- Pakenham Race Four Number 6 Thunderzone:
Stable is batting at 33% when running horses on the Synthetic last 12 months and I think they can get another win on the board via this son of O’Reilly, who resumed over 1200m here a fortnight back and was a real eye catcher late, closing off with purpose to run third to Storm Boss. Should be able to sit closer in the run from the good draw and up to 1400m a big tick.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win at $4.2 (Sportsbet)
Bet Five- Win- Pakenham Race Five Number 8 A Fighting Fury:
Just has to back up the resumption and I think he’ll be too good. Resumed on the Geelong Synthetic where he settled back in the run before Regan peeled him to the outside and in a couple of strides, he put them away and spaced them by five, clocking his final 600m eight lengths quicker than any other horse in the race. Just too good. Translates that to Pakenham and he’ll take beating.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win at $4.2 (Sportsbet)
Total Spend: $180
