Bet One- Win- Wyong Race Three Number 7 Rectitude:
Expecting an avalanche of money for Oxford Tycoon with the Waugh/Shinn factor along with the Slipper lead up form in the Autumn. That should mean a decent price for Rectitude, hopefully $5+. Debuted over 1200m at Newcastle where he sat up on speed and looked to travel well before hitting the lead, only getting grabbed late. Back to 1100m should suit and I think he either leads or takes the sit off Oxford Tycoon.

Bet Two- Each Way- Wyong Race Eight Number 2 Jarrett:
Firmer footing will help this three year old gelding, who hasn’t raced in over three weeks since racing over the Newcastle mile on a sticky track where he had the box seat run but dropped out of the hunt in the straight when down the track behind Latitude. He’ll be much better on top of the ground and for mine he can bounce back.

Bet Three- Win- Warren Race One Number 1 Cuban Lass:
Nothing race but he’s the most consistent of the bunch and he looks a safe option in the first. This bloke toughed it out strongly to win two back at Mudgee, beating two subsequent winners, before stepping back to the Dubbo mile and making up good ground from the back behind Lamma Hilton. Wendy Peel has ridden very well over the past couple of months and her 3kg claim is a huge help.

Bet Four- Win- Pakenham Race Three Number 9 Shock Shock:
The niggle is that she wants further, but I think class/ability wise, she should be beating this field. Resumed at this track/distance where she was a bit flat footed early on in the straight, but picked up and was really good to the line and through it. It was the run of a horse wanting 1400m+, but there is no depth here and should improve fitness wise.

Bet Five- Win- Pakenham Race Seven Number 7 Belle Xaar:
Not sure how she will handle the Synthetic, but in regards to form, she’s the one to beat. Got a mile back last time over 1300m at Sandown but worked home strongly to run fourth to Seductive Miss. She had a tick over trial at Ballarat last week and to the eye, it was awful, but bear in mind she didn’t have the blinkers and she’ll have them on in this race.
