Bet One- Win- Ipswich Race One Number 6 Jami Lady:
Happy to be with Jami Lady, a daughter of Spirit Of Boom for Steve O’Dea. She was well backed when debuting over 1000m at the Sunny Coast and despite sitting wide no cover on speed, she proved far too good for her rivals and was most impressive, running really good time relative to the day. Confident she gets the job done.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win at $3.1 (BetEasy)
Bet Two- Win- Coffs Harbour Race Four Number 9 Fuji Fury:
Looks like it’ll be a fruitful afternoon for Kris Lees at Coffs Harbour, a track he rarely ventures to. Starting with this gelding, who debuted in a Taree maiden and visually, the win was nothing flash, but I loved the way he knuckled down, chased and got the win. He’ll eat up the mile on the bigger track and for mine is a great bet.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win at $2.9 (BetEasy)
Bet Three- Win- Coffs Harbour Race Five Number 1 Petain:
Getting even money about a $1.30-$1.40 pop I think. He just hast to turn up to be winning for mine. Resumed in a strong maiden on Newcastle Cup Day and worked home quite strongly I thought behind Neruda, running a two length fourth. The depth here is far inferior to what he faced fresh, he draws well, up in trip…can’t see him getting beat barring bad luck.
Suggested Bet: $100 Win at $2 (Bet365)
Bet Four- Win- Coffs Harbour Race Six Number 5 Waruna:
Up to 1400m looks perfect for this mare. Was keen on her when she resumed over 1250m at Taree but I reckon she just found them too sharp over that trip. That, and Sepae is low flying and was helped by bias towards those on speed. Like this girl up in trip and the trials leading into the resumption were quite good. Keen on her.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win at $2.9 (Sportsbet)
Bet Five- Win- Swan Hill Race Three Number 10 Magnum Opus:
Bit of depth to the maiden but I like this Lucas Cranach colt. Both career outings have come on the Pakenham Synthetic, on debut bumping into a likely Oaks contender in Yulong Meteor before the heavily backed Soluminate got the better of him last time, with a four week gap in between. Should come right on from that and up to the mile is perfect. Hopefully Meech can get him on speed without doing much work and prove hard to beat.
Bet: $30 Win at $4.6 (BetEasy)
Total Spend: $280
