Overall Results (Since June 7): $4735 Profit
Bet One- Win- Ararat Race Eight Number 1 Talk’emaround:
Made him the best of the day on the basis that there looks to be no depth to the field, should get a good run on speed and was impressive last start. That last start saw him break the maiden status at Terang over 1400m where he was confidently backed, landed on speed and when asked for the big effort he responded and won well, really showing a nice turn of foot between the 400-200. Think he’ll either lead or sit outside Blunakka and prove hard to run down.
Suggested Bet: $100 Win at $3.1 (BetEasy)
Bet Two- Win- Wagga Race Two Number 3 Coolyboss:
I think she can only run well. Grant Colvin trains this filly, who has had two career outings. Should have won here last time but threw it away by ducking and weaving in the straight. Blinkers go on, soft draw…gee I think she should be a clear favourite in a winnable maiden.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win at $4.8 (BetEasy)
Bet Three- Each Way- Wagga Race Three Number 7 Welletsdoit:
Former kiwi who made his Australian debut over 1200m here where he got a mile back off the speed but produced really good late splits behind impressive winner Monterey Zar. Been heavily backed in early in markets. I hope he eases out somewhat to an each way price.
Suggested Bet: $20 E/W (Tote)
Bet Four- Win- Dalby Race One Number 1 Jetseventeen:
Looks the god thing on the Dalby program. Ben Currie trains this colt, who debuted on his home track at Toowoomba and wasn’t too bad in a race that has turned out to be a good form reference. Recent trial win was sharp and this doesn’t look an overly strong maiden. Keen.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win $2.35 (Sportsbet)
Bet Five- Each Way- Dalby Race Two Number 2 My Belly Button:
Lindsay Hatch trains this four year old gelding, who resumed over 1200m on his home track at Toowoomba and he just got too far back in the run but his finale was more than satisfactory behind Factory Warrior. If he can get a drag up into the race, hopefully three wide with cover, convinced he’ll run well.
Suggested Bet: $20 E/W at $6.5/$2.3 (BetEasy)
Total Spend: $260
